Drawing on the screen is extremely smooth and comfortable, but I would like to have seen different hardness nibs. There is actually a circuit board behind the screen which detects the pen about a centimeter above the screen, so you can move the cursor and hover over things without touching it, just like on the Surface. It is fantastic to have so much operable screen-space. For starters, the large screen and great screen resolution make it far easier to do long assignments without zoning in on a small area like I have to do on the Surface. It is very easy to click them accidentally while writing, which is a bit of a problem considering that clicking the button turns on eraser mode, which erases everything you use the pen on! Thankfully undo buttons are commonplace in drawing programs. As for the two buttons, they can be slightly annoying. That is a little moot though, because there are two pens that you can switch off of and the monitor must be used by an outlet, so you should be able to keep them charged indefinitely.

The pens charge for a couple hours within about a minute, so I'm not actually sure how long the charge lasts or what a full charge takes however, I am sure that if you fully charge both pens overnight they will last for several weeks. They are a little bit thicker, which can be useful at certain angles, and they have a rubber exterior far superior to the Surface Pro's pens.
